Meilo Studio / Public record 01
When one review becomes the business story.
A contested review is one account. A generated overview can make it sound like a pattern. This page shows what PissedConsumer published, what remains open, and how a business can build a record someone else can actually check.
The point of this file
Challenge the sentence. Preserve the source.
PissedConsumer's Burrard Laptops page displays one one-star review (#7352271) and an AI-generated overview. The founder disputes material parts of the review. We have not published the shop's private records or reached a finding about the reviewer.
The platform's own publications raise separate questions about verification, paid controls, its challenge process and data use. Open a topic below to see the source, the question, and a practical action for a business facing the same problem.
01 / Published record
Read the documents beside each other.
Click a topic to inspect the exact tension without turning a question into a verdict.
One review becomes broader advice.
Published record
The Burrard Laptops page says its rating is based on one registered-user review. Its generated overview then says consumers are mostly dissatisfied and offers generalized guidance to future customers.
Question to answer
What evidence supports each generated statement beyond the single review, and how can a business obtain a sentence-level correction?
Useful business action
Capture the page with a date. Identify each sentence that goes beyond the source review. Ask for a human review of the generated text separately from the review itself.
What this does not prove
One review establishes that one reviewer made allegations. It does not establish the experience of multiple consumers or resolve the underlying dispute.
A badge needs a defined meaning.
Published record
The review displays a Verified Reviewer badge. PissedConsumer's FAQ says a Verified Reviewer supplied valid contact information; it describes a Verified Buyer separately.
Question to answer
What was verified for this review, and does the page distinguish contact verification from verification of its factual allegations?
Useful business action
Ask the platform to describe the badge's exact criteria. Test specific factual assertions against dated records rather than arguing about the badge alone.
What this does not prove
Contact verification neither proves the review true nor proves it false.
Two public descriptions need reconciling.
Published record
PissedConsumer's business guide says some paid-plan features may include deleting reviews, while its 2026 trust article says businesses cannot pay to remove bad reviews. The guide also describes prominent placement for Gold-plan responses.
Question to answer
What can a paid account delete, under which rules, and who makes the decision? Is the same correction path available without a paid plan?
Useful business action
Request the current plan feature matrix and moderation criteria. Distinguish paid response placement from review deletion and independent dispute decisions.
What this does not prove
The published wording does not prove that valid negative reviews can be bought off the site. The documents leave the precise feature boundary unclear.
The fee is real; its recipient matters.
Published record
The LVP rules list $1,200 for challenging one review. They say that fee is paid directly to a third-party neutral and that PissedConsumer does not participate in the payment.
Question to answer
Which no-fee route assesses a specific factual inaccuracy or generated-summary error before a business considers LVP?
Useful business action
Save the policy version and ask for the applicable free moderation or correction route. Confirm current fees and eligibility before starting any paid process.
What this does not prove
A listed third-party fee is not evidence that the platform pays reviewers or sells review removal.
What leaves the platform, and in what form?
Published record
The privacy policy says users' Personal Information is not sold. A brochure offers anonymized review datasets for analysis and AI training. An AI-client publication describes review and call-derived insights supplied to a client.
Question to answer
How are free-text reviews and calls de-identified? Which client categories receive them, under what consent and downstream-use limits?
Useful business action
Ask for a data dictionary, de-identification method, recipient categories, retention schedule and an account-specific disclosure where available.
What this does not prove
These publications do not prove an unlawful sale, identify a particular client, or show that this review or a particular call was supplied.

03 / For any business
Build a response that survives scrutiny.
No platform can infer your private service history from a review alone. Give a reviewer or moderator a clean path through the records.
Download a blank claim matrix- 01
Freeze the public version
Save the review URL, date, visible badge, generated summary and any platform reply.
- 02
Separate every material statement
One row per claim. Mark it supported, disputed, contradicted or unresolved.
- 03
Attach the record, not the entire customer file
Use exact dated excerpts. Preserve originals privately and redact unrelated personal information.
- 04
Ask for a specific correction
Identify the sentence, the platform rule and the narrow change requested. Track the answer and follow up against the same record.
04 / Fixed-scope business service
We assemble the evidence package.
For one contested incident across up to three public platforms: a dated chronology, up to ten indexed source records, a claim-by-claim matrix, redacted platform requests, a measured public response and one revision within 30 days.
This is evidence preparation, not legal representation. Platform or legal fees are separate. No removal or third-party decision is guaranteed.
